About me! Thank you for looking.

 I am a 70 plus year old woman, recently a refugee of the Alameda Wild Fire in Oregon.  

I was underinsured, living in an urban area which had never been bothered with fire until Sept. 2020

I was left homeless, not even motels were available. I was unable to get help from Red Cross or the usual non profits because I was not in MY county where the fire took place.. I had the choice of sleeping in my car.. which I often did or leaving the area, so I drove 4 hours to find a bed to sleep in.

I have never been able to get back to my hometown where I spent my entire life.. there are no homes for rent or sale that any of us can afford.  I'm an hour away, without my doctors or anything familiar and in need of funds to rebuild my life. 

Friends tried to start fund raising for me on GoFundMe, who shut many fire victims down saying that fire is NOT a legitimate cause.  WOW!  Yes, it's about politics... IF you are a conservative, you will NOT be allowed to fund raise with them or on Facebook!   Only some citizens are worthy of charity it seems....

I am not asking for handouts.  I'm trying to pay my way as I ALWAYS HAVE.
